Repurposing spare foam layers
Cut larger layers into two identical pieces, glue or tape them together and use as a kneeler. Put the kneeler into a plastic bag (like a swing bin liner) for outdoor use.
Put them into an old cushion cover to make comfy bedding for your pet. You may need to trim larger pieces to fit. Don’t let animals eat the foam – its not good for them.
If you have several layers left you could get a new cover (from spares) and make a new Underpillow for a loved one or for your spare room.
Cut unused foam into small pieces and use as cleaning sponges.
Give new life to an old cushion. Either cut the foam to size, or cut it into small strips, then add it into the cushion to plump it up.
Wrap around an item you are sending to cushion it from knocks and blows.
If you have gaps under doors or by window frames that let in chilly draughts then cut a strip of foam about twice the width of the gap and push it into the gap to stop the draught.
Recycling and re-purposing
All Mylevel pillows are made in the UK. We aim to make the best pillows whilst reducing our environmental impact. So rather than using several layers of plastic to wrap up the pillows we simply use one extra strong mailing bag – which is recyclable. The cardboard packaging has the user guide printed on it and is recycled and recyclable. This all helps make less waste.
You may end up with some spare foam layers, keep it unused for a couple of weeks to make sure you really don’t need it. Then how about reusing it in one of the ways shown above? Or if you repurpose them in a way we haven’t thought of we’d love to see any other creative ideas.
